KitchenSink

What the name implies. I listened to every free loop that came with the system (~1,000 files) and tried out anything that struck me! Kinda the equivalent of desktop-publishers of the 1980's... "I'm gonna use every color on all 12 fonts! Awesome!"

KitchenFUNK

Still experimenting. Gave it a funky funk. As should be clear, I'm not a musician, and have yet to delve very deeply into the power of GarageBand. I'd already figured out how to alter the "Software Instrument" loops, however, via the Presets. Some of that tweaking can already be heard.

Orca

Downloaded the free orchestral "Jam Pack", and again experimented with everything it offered. When encountering new software, I'm the nerd who'll read the manual cover to cover, and if there's no manual (or after reading), I'll create files with the same original image -- or instrument loop -- but with different FX applied. That's saved for reference.

theRaven

This was another Let's Try These Flavors Of Loops, but I grew dissatisfied with where it was going and set it aside and moved on to something else. It wasn't until maybe a year later when I considered putting together this "album" that I re-opened theRaven and thought I'd drop in some new beats I'd downloaded in the meantime. Multi-layered Middle Eastern!

LivingInInfamy

Another case of a project needing original music. Deliberately grungy and loud. See the animated promo I created here!

Honkytonk

A background snippet created for the above "Living In Infamy" project. For a bar/poker scene. Twangy and slow, but quickly put together. Included on Beefy just for a taste of something different -- probably slathered in barbecue sauce.

Spooky(fast)

Intended for a Halloween party that didn't happen, I doubled the bpm to a bone-tapping 120 and made it just a gothdance tune for year 'round! "I wish my lawn was emo so it would cut itself..."

Astrotrain

[see FREELANCE]

Fuzzy

Like "Astrotrain", I thought I'd create my own soundtrack for a portfolio video clip, and that way could claim even more of the content credit! "I did the things you see, and also what you hear, ta da!" Named "Fuzzy" after The Powerpuff Girls villain Fuzzy Lumpkins... it reminds me of his theme music. [see the LOCAL ADS clip]

LatinAmerica

Like "Astrotrain" & "Fuzzy", I thought I'd create my own soundtrack etc., ...for my aircheck from The Weather Channel Latin America. An unhurried sensibility. [see CORPORATE]

Chordy

One example of that "creating reference files of FX"...

Distraxion

Again, what the name implies! I needed to rattle loose some neurons. I can lose an hour or two easy in GarageBand.

Netherlands

The best example of that "creating reference files of FX"... It's made up of almost the same loop, but with different Preset FX testing what happens when I push this button? Will eventually become the soundtrack for my WeatherPlus aircheck. Of special note: This song uses no beats! That was another challenge I set myself. I dug deeper into GarageBand's guts on this one...

GloStix

Downloaded another free set of loops and gleefully went all out. Apparently I have drag queen taste in music. Well I hope anyone of any persuasion gets a kick out of Beefy! I'm just having some practical fun. Let me know if you side with Diana or Jill LOL, k thx bye. :)
